Seminar on World Cancer Day at Christian College of Engineering and Technology, Bhilai
Bhilai: February 4 to mark World Cancer Day women’s Cell of Christian College of Engineering & Technology (CCET), Bhilai, organized a Cancer Awareness Seminar for students and staff. The event aimed to spread awareness about cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment options.
The seminar was graced by Fr. Dr. P. S. Varghese, Executive Vice Chairman, who emphasized the importance of awareness and a healthy lifestyle in reducing the risk of cancer. Principal Dr.J. K. Tiwari appreciared college women cell for this awareness programme. Keynote speaker, and resource peraon Dr. Manasi Gulati (MBBS, DNB, Obstetrics & Gynecology), delivered an insightful session on various aspects of cancer, including its causes, symptoms, preventive measures, and the role of early detection in improving survival rates. She also addressed myths and misconceptions surrounding cancer, urging everyone to adopt healthier habits. The session concluded with an interactive discussion, where students and faculty actively participated by asking questions and sharing thoughts. The event was highly informative and encouraged everyone to take proactive steps toward a cancer-free future.
